Volunteer of the month

My name is Adeela Mazrui, a hardworking individual with a strong passion for the law and social justice. I am currently in my final year of high school and have aspirations to continue my studies in law for post-secondary. I am a second-generation immigrant from Tanzania, so while I experience the privileges of the Canadian lifestyle, I am familiar with the struggles of newcomer families and am able to sympathize effectively with them. Communication and collaboration are my strong suits, which I use with the good intentions of helping the community. I have also developed skills in speaking French and Swahili, with English being my first language. I am a dedicated volunteer for Creating New Paths and believe passionately in their values and approaches towards mental health issues within newcomer communities. I hope to channel my skills and resources with Creating New Paths to make a real difference.
